INDONESIA, China, India Are Most At Risk Of Disaster
VIVAnews --A recent survey conducted Maplecroft, a United Kingdom institution risk assessment further confirms the position of Indonesia as a country prone to disaster.

Maplecroft meranking 196 countries according to the economic exposure related to earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, landslides, floods, storms, and wildfires.
Four countries--the United States ranks first, followed by Japan, China and Taiwan are considered ' extreme risk ' which means, most bear the costs in the face of natural disasters.
Meanwhile, seven other countries namely, Mexico, India, the Philippines, Turkey, Indonesia, Italy, and Canada high risk assessed in absolute terms.
However, different results appear when each country is judged on the basis of the economic and social skills in dealing with disasters. China, India, the Philippines, and Indonesia belongs to the category high, while the United States and Japan is relatively low risk.
Meanwhile, 17 countries, mostly in Africa, Somali-led is considered at risk of extreme, according to a barometer of the economic and social security.
Survey of Natural Hazards Risk Atlas 2011 consider 11 indicators for 2005-2010 data compiled by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank and the US Intelligence Agency (CIA).
