Recipient Of The The Blazt Obd Award: Adrian B. Lapian

This year the award was given in this Sunday night, August 14, 2011. Awarding of the prize was held in Jakarta and was attended by hundreds of dignitaries. One of the recipients of the prize is Adrian b. Lapian, a social thinkers.

Adrian b. Lapian was the maritime historian opens a new sheet is writing the history of the region of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Endlessly he reminded that Indonesia is the main sea ' State ' is sprinkled with Islands, not the country of islands surrounded by the sea.

His book, The Sea-Pirate Kings of the sea: the history of The Celebes Sea of XIX century, gives a fresh new perspective and a history of writing differently to resting on human experience on the Mainland, the reorganization of the understanding of the pirates in the history of Indonesia, and correcting the image of the deterioration of indigenous cruise in the 18th century and 19th.

He pioneered a new way of studying the history of Indonesia as the sea system as nautical networking units are working into one large area of unity-mutually integrated.

A month after a jury make its decision as a recipient of the the Blazt OBD Achmad 2011 to social thought, Adrian B Lapian died. Prior to the last breath exhaled in Jakarta, July 19, 2011, Adrian briefly treated in RSPAD.

Top achievements, persistence, and exceptional contributions to their fields, the Freedom Institute gave the figure of the scientist and Achmad Bakrie 2011 Award.
